Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often feel alone and it's difficult to reach out. I'd like to help by letting you know that you are not alone and your life can definitely get better!

My Approach
My approach comes from a place of respect and support for individuals with ASD. I utilize appreciative inquiry which is a strengths-based approach that is different than a problem-focused approach that is aimed at mitigating threats. I like to help clients find their values, beliefs, and capabilities that can then lead to positive change.

Cognitive Behavioral therapy focuses on turning around negative thought patterns about oneself and their world. I challenge those thoughts in order to help an individual avoid unwanted behavior patterns and anxiety.
For staff training, I will help your teachers, employees, and other relevant staff understand what ASD is all about, to include symptoms, behaviors, thought patterns, and special gifts.

I will teach appreciative inquiry techniques that help employees work with individuals on the spectrum by helping them be more open and gain awareness of their special talents, while breaking down barriers to success.

The training gives employees an opportunity to learn and practice skills for working with individuals with ASD.
